SPRING HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

The Blog Hop stamp set we selected is Hydrangea Haven. What a fun stamp set.

Here is the card I created along with the instrudtions for making this card in case you want to C.A.S.E. it!

Here's the inside

Instructions:

MATERIALS list and cutting dimensions

Card stock:

Highland Heather: Card Base 8 ½ x 5 ½ scored at 4 ½

Gorgeous Grape: 2 pcs cut at 1” x 4” used for the band on the front of the card ( I used delightful Tag Topper punch) 1 long strip at ¼” for the inside of the card.

Basic White: 1 piece cut at 5 1/4 x 4 for the inside of the card.

Vellum: Color with STAMPIN’Up Blends (matching colors of DSP) and spread around with alcohol and a paint brush. Die cut a vellum butterfly for underneath the detailed Gorgeous Grape Butterfly Cut a ¾ x 2 ¼ piece to stamp the sentiment on for the front of the card.

DSP: Hydrangea Hill. I used the piece of DSP with a row of Hydrangeas on the top and bottom. I cut that piece in half so the flowers are on the top and bottom. Then cut those two pieces at 4" along the flowers side so you end up with 6 4x6 pieces. Then cut one of then down to 5 1/4 X 4 for the front layer. I also used a piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP for the envelope flap.

DIES: Brilliant Wings. Die cut the butterflies using the detailed butterfly dies. I used a piece of the matching DSP to cut out the butterflies. and then used one of the smaller ones for the front of the card. I used the detailed dies to cut a detailed butterfly out of Gorgeous Grape. Adhere that to the vellum piece attaching at the body only.

Stamp set: Spring Time Joy for the sentiments

Ribbon: Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon for the "bow knot".

Embellishment: Gorgeous Grape sequins from my supply stash (probably from an old Paper Pumpkin. (don't be afraid to dig into your stash to find your own goodies)

I hope you give this card a try. It would make a beautiful Mother's day card - just change up the sentiments!
